Every day · two minutes or twenty

A prompt worth
showing up for.

Most journaling apps hand you a blank page. Dance Your Move hands you something to do first — a question, a gesture, a small dare — and lets the writing follow from that, or not, if you'd rather just move.

Two modules

Spark and Move, side by side

Spark is the daily question. Move is the daily body prompt. They're built to be used together, but each one stands on its own if that's all you want today.

Daily · 30 seconds to 20 minutes

Spark

A new prompt every day, organized by themes: movement, identity, dreams, nature, relationships, memory, courage, play, transformation, belonging, rest, desire. Some are simple — "what color is your mood today?" Others are theatrical, or visual, or just a dare to notice something.

What it gives you: a reason to open the app, and a starting point when the blank page feels like too much.

Daily · 60 seconds

Move

Not dance instruction — creative movement. Move only your hands, then make it bigger, then tiny, then let it travel through your whole body. Record what happened afterward, in a sentence or a paragraph.

What it gives you: a way in for anyone who's never taken a dance class, and a body-based alternative on days words won't come.

For the curious

What actually happens when you open it

Today's Spark

You open the app and get one prompt for the day — the same one for everyone, so it's a shared starting point, not a menu to choose from.

Pick a response

Move, write, create, reflect, or just save it for later. You can do one, or all five — there's no wrong amount.

It lands in your journal

Whatever you made — a sentence, a photo, a movement note — becomes one entry in your ongoing archive, tagged and searchable.

Practical things worth knowing

  • No account is required to try today's Spark — the free plan needs no card details.
  • Move prompts respect reduced-motion settings and never require getting on the floor.
  • Missed a day? There's no streak to lose — yesterday's prompt is still there if you want it.
  • Every response is private by default; nothing is shared unless you choose to.
  • The Daily Spark is free; Plus ($4.99/month) adds Move prompts, drawing, the screensaver maker and a journal that's kept.

Where it leads

From a spark to a creative world

A single Spark response looks small on its own. Kept up daily, it becomes a pattern — the words you keep circling back to, the movements your body reaches for without thinking. That pattern is what My Creative World maps out for you.

It's also where choreographers, actors and writers start finding project ideas — a recurring gesture becomes a piece, a recurring word becomes a character. That's what the Ideas board is for.
